As a Senior Compliance Associate in Amazon's GSRC team, you will review product information against SOPs and regulatory documentation, classify products for compliance, and maintain detailed task records. You will collaborate with managers and Process Experts, identify improvement opportunities, potentially automate reports, and share feedback on SOPs. Additionally, you will mentor peers by answering queries and providing process training.
Responsibilities
- Review product information as per Standard Operations Procedures (SOP) and cross-check against regulatory documentation.
- Classify products using Amazon-specific tools to ensure compliance requirements are met for availability on Amazon.
- Work closely with manager and Process Experts to address deviations from standard SOPs.
- Maintain detailed records of assigned tasks and utilize standardized reports to prioritize work.
- Meet Quality, Productivity, and Service Level Agreement targets.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and collaborate with partner teams to explore automation, such as using Excel queries.
- Share feedback on the team's SOPs to contribute to operational process refinement.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, contributing expertise and learnings.
- Mentor peers by answering their queries and providing process-level training.
Requirements
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel (filtering, sorting, cell referencing, pivot tables, data validation).
- Basic understanding of SQL for self-service defined queries and simple data retrieval.
- Knowledgeable in Customer Relationship Management tools for managing customer data and tracking interactions.
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze and identify patterns across data sets and information.
- Problem-solving skills using logic, intuition, creativity, and design thinking.
- Commitment to investigation, research, and seeking facts ('diving deep').
- Ability to understand, interpret, critique, analyze, and communicate data.
- English-language communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or similar fields.
- Knowledge of consumer product compliance processes and regulations.
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ year work experience in Business Process Outsourcing in accounting, regulatory compliance, payment processing, IT services, human resources, or quality assurance.
- Advanced Excel skills (VBA).
- Knowledge of database querying (SQL).
- Experience as a quality auditor in retail chain management, Fast Moving Consumer Goods company, or corporate role.
- Experience with data analysis in quantitative fields and building data and decision support systems.
