Responsibilities

  • Oversee store business plan and IKEA Food action plans, supporting team implementation.
  • Ensure an irresistible food offer with attractive presentation and communication.
  • Share product knowledge, including content, origins, and culinary applications.
  • Demonstrate culinary expertise in preparation methods, flavor profiles, and ingredient quality.
  • Ensure top-selling products are available, communicated, and displayed.
  • Support marketing and in-store activities, including culinary demonstrations.
  • Implement range changes cost-consciously, considering seasonal ingredients and trends.
  • Initiate commercial activities to attract visitors and increase take-up rate.
  • Maintain area efficiently, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and attractiveness.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Provide input on range, pricing, and seasonal menu development using market awareness and culinary insights.

Requirements

  • Post Graduate or Degree or three years Diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent.
  • Formal culinary training, qualification, or certification.
  • Previous experience in a similar leadership role within food service, hospitality, or retail food environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in culinary techniques, food preparation methods, flavour profiles, and ingredient quality assessment.
  • Knowledge of food pairing principles, menu development, and seasonal ingredient selection.
  • HACCP Certification (preferable).
  • Integrity and the ability to establish strong work relationships.
  • Good analytical skills and cost consciousness.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Competent in problem solving, conflict and crisis management.
