Responsibilities

  • Ensure the IKEA Food area is clean, organized, and inviting, meeting food standards.
  • Perform food preparation, cooking, serving, and customer service with a focus on food safety, waste control, and production levels.
  • Clear tables, wipe down countertops, and conduct stocktakes.
  • Engage in active selling, cash handling, and operation of kitchen equipment like ovens and fryers.
  • Maintain the washing up area and machines while ensuring the cleanliness of the customer restaurant.

Requirements

  • Must have availability to work a rotating roster including day and evening shifts.
  • Must be available to work 3 out of 4 weekends per month (both Saturday and Sunday).
  • Ability to follow strict IKEA Food and HACCP policies and daily operational routines for quality and food safety.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Passion for food quality and presentation.

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality and cookery experience is highly regarded.
  • Enthusiasm for working within a team.
