Responsibilities
- Help customers bring home furnishing dreams to life.
- Understand customer needs, provide product knowledge, and share home furnishing solutions.
- Create inspiring shopping experiences.
- Make it easy for customers to find products and services.
- Welcome customers.
- Support self-service areas.
- Assist at check-outs.
- Process returns.
- Handle cash and electronic payments accurately and efficiently.
- Help with customer enquiries.
- Ensure every interaction is positive, efficient and memorable.
- Accurately pick, pack and check orders.
- Support Click & Collect handouts.
- Coordinate deliveries.
- Resolve order issues.
- Work safely and efficiently.
- Follow IKEA procedures.
- Operate forklifts and fulfilment equipment.
- Collaborate with the wider team to ensure every customer receives their order on time and with care.
- Connect and communicate with a diverse range of people.
- Work well as part of a team and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
- Prioritize tasks and adapt to changing business needs.

Requirements
- Permanent and temporary positions available ranging from 30 - 40 hours/fortnight across our Sales, Customer Service and Fulfilment functions.
- Availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts.
- Availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
- Adequate availability, without holidays booked, during the peak trading period (from mid-October 2026 to January 2027).
- Weekend availability is a must.

Desired Qualifications
- Group Assessment Centre at IKEA Canberra on Friday 9 October.
- Start in your role on Monday 19 October and attend a 2-day Welcome induction.
