IKEA Nagakute is seeking a full-time Interior Designer to propose functional layouts and appealing home furnishing ideas. Responsibilities

  • Propose functional layouts and communicate product benefits in room settings.
  • Offer solutions for comfortable living and attractive coordination.
  • Create and set up functional and beautiful showroom plans to suggest a better life.
  • Plan and set up store layouts and displays.
  • Provide functional and beautiful home furnishing ideas based on knowledge of interiors and home life.
  • Share knowledge of home life with other departments and contribute to the business.
  • Act proactively to achieve departmental goals.

Requirements

  • Interest in design, people's lives, and home furnishing trends.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced retail industry.
  • Like collaborating with the team and finding new ways of working.
  • Willingness to develop design skills and learn continuously.
  • Proactive communication skills.
  • Daily conversational English ability.
  • Degree in architecture, interior design, or fine arts, or equivalent experience in the same field.

Desired Qualifications

  • Prioritization for candidates able to work on weekends, holidays, and peak seasons (Golden Week, Obon, Year-end/New Year, March/April new life season).
  • Ability to work flexible shifts aligned with store operating hours (7:00 AM to 10:00 PM), including early and late shifts.
  • Opportunity to take two consecutive days off per month (subject to scheduling and peak periods).
  • Monthly shift scheduling (starting on the 1st of each month).
