Responsibilities

  • Assist customers to improve their shopping experience at IKEA.
  • Guide customers within the store.
  • Manage Smaland (childcare service).
  • Handle shopping tools.
  • Operate the returns counter.
  • Collect shopping carts.

Requirements

  • No academic or industry experience required.
  • Enthusiasm for home furnishings (interiors, comfortable living).
  • Empathy with IKEA's vision and ability to contribute to its realization.
  • Confident, polite, friendly, and smiling communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to take on challenges and learn from failures.
  • Passion for working collaboratively and valuing individual differences.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and utilize limited time effectively.
  • Interest in healthy and sustainable living.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Available to work weekends and holidays.
  • Flexible to work shifts, including early and late shifts, according to store hours.
  • Available to work during busy periods (Golden Week, Obon, New Year holidays, March/April new life season, etc.).
  • Ability to create a monthly shift schedule (starting on the 1st of each month).

Desired Qualifications

  • Schedule flexibility to allow for at least two consecutive days off per month (subject to peak periods).
