Responsibilities
- Provide human resources consultation and support to a designated client group.
- Administer personnel rules and regulations, pay and job classification structures, and employee training programs.
- Ensure human resource and organizational structures are aligned with business needs.
- Drive a culture of growth, meeting commitments, and positive employee relations.
- Improve efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
- Conduct organization assessments and strengthen talent through strategic staffing and talent pipeline review development.
- Lead talent review/succession planning processes.
- Increase employee engagement and commitment by resolving employee and organizational issues.
- Interpret and implement HR policies, practices and procedures.
- Provide HR leadership and coaching on employee relations issues.
- Work with Human Resources staff to accomplish HR activities.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources; related graduate degree
- A minimum of 7 years HR experience in a manufacturing setting
- Previous plant HR leadership experience required.
- Knowledge of state and federal employment / labor laws and regulations
- Structured interviewing experience and presentation skills
- Experience in writing and evaluating programs associated with Affirmative Action and other compliance programs
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization collaboratively.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, Workday, digital collaboration tools, and modern HR metrics
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and HR procedures.
- Must have interpersonal skills that develop and maintain trust and respect of employees.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently.
