In short

This is a temporary Graduate Apprentice Trainee position focused on System Simulation at Volvo Group in Bangalore. The role offers hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics engineering, utilizing tools like Matlab and Simulink to contribute to sustainable transport solutions.

Responsibilities

Work in agile teams with global colleagues on system simulation.
Understand customer usage and product performance.
Provide solutions throughout the product lifecycle, from idea to aftermarket.
Follow virtual models from script to verification in a truck.
Improve products currently in production.
Interact with colleagues from different cultures.

Requirements

Graduate in Mechanical/Electrical/Automobile/Mechatronics Engineering.
Proficient in Matlab and Simulink for vehicle-level simulations.
Strong grasp of Vehicle Energy Management and performance tradeoffs.
Demonstrated expertise in simulation data analysis (running simulations, extracting insights, post-processing datasets).
Ability to interpret results to inform design and engineering decisions.
Experience presenting analytical findings to stakeholders.
Exposure to GIT/Bitbucket for version control.
Good understanding of powertrain technology, materials, and components.
Strong commitment to timely delivery with high quality standards.
Fluency in English and good presentation and communication skills.

Desired Qualifications

Fundamental understanding of powertrain components.
Exposure to simulation softwares such as Matlab/Simulink/AVL Cruise/GT Drive or similar tools.
Demonstrated usage of Matlab/Python for analysis of simulation data.
Ability to work with Model Development in Simulink will be a bonus.
