Responsibilities

- Identify, shape, and advance Saab’s interests in established and emerging policy domains.
- Scan the external environment for political, regulatory, and strategic developments.
- Translate complex developments into clear strategies and practical actions.
- Ensure effective positioning with decision-makers and stakeholders through a strong network.
- Act as an internal advisor, providing strategic insights, policy analysis, and advocacy approaches.
- Strengthen the team’s overall effectiveness, ensuring coherence and impact.
- Design and implement advocacy strategies to influence policy outcomes.
- Monitor, analyze, and interpret public policy developments.
- Position Saab as a credible and forward-leaning partner in policy discussions.
- Provide strategic advice and policy insights to senior leadership.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to align advocacy efforts with business needs.
Requirements
- 3-7 years of relevant experience from government, public affairs, political environments, consultancies, industry, or think tanks.
- Experience contributing to advocacy efforts, policy development, or stakeholder engagement.
- A developing but relevant professional network within government, agencies, political environments, industry, or related ecosystems.
- Solid understanding of decision-making processes and how policy shapes business conditions.
- Ability to analyze complex issues and translate them into clear, actionable insights.
- An academic degree in a relevant field.
- Strong communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
- Must pass a security vetting.
