Sandvik Mining is seeking a Fleet Analyst for Parts & Services in Elko, NV. This hybrid role focuses on developing and maintaining lifecycle operating cost (LCC) models and maintenance strategy plans for Sandvik equipment across the USA, supporting sales and service teams with data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain indicative lifecycle operating cost (LCC) models for Sandvik equipment in the USA.
  • Work with Aftermarket Contracts, Lifecycle Support Services, and Service Contracts teams to maintain an asset register and LCC models.
  • Develop service schedules, component lives, budget operating costs, and parts consumption forecasts.
  • Provide input and recommendations to Account teams for Tender submissions.
  • Manage and facilitate feedback from active contracts to improve LCC models.
  • Provide sales and planning support, including operating cost and revenue summaries.
  • Manage MDG Access for USA fleet for SMR Parts & Services.
  • Develop local Power BI reports to support fleet or parts availability metrics.
  • Assist in the preparation of Equipment tenders.
  • Review maintenance costs of equipment regularly to improve cost efficiency.
  • Establish critical spares lists and component lifecycle plans.
  • Facilitate USA region Asset Agreement Development.
  • Prepare and present documentation.
  • Develop and manage small projects.
  • Engage and participate in change management processes.
  • Check fleet reporting integrity and collaborate on discrepancies.
  • Create custom sales dashboards for fleet data KPIs.
  • Provide support and training to the USA P&S organization on fleet data tools.

Requirements

  • Degree or relevant trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Engineering, Direct Mining based Mechanical Trade, Project Management or Asset Management.
  • 5+ years experience in Estimation or Project Management.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance planning and management systems (CMMS).
  • Data Analysis and reporting skills – Intermediate to Advanced.
  • High level understanding of risk and risk management.
  • Advanced MS Excel.
  • Advanced Power BI.
  • Superior standard of interpersonal skills and leadership qualities.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Sandvik, or competitor products including surface and underground drills, loaders and haul trucks.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States on an indefinite basis without employer sponsorship.

Desired Qualifications

  • MS Office Suite.
  • SQL Database or analytics program such as Alteryx, Python.
  • Experience with failure analysis methodologies.
  • 5 years experience in estimation or project management.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and improving lifecycle cost models, maintenance strategy plans, component forecasts, or parts consumption forecasts for mining equipment.
  • Strong understanding of Sandvik or similar mining equipment, including surface drills, underground drills, loaders, haul trucks, and related parts and service requirements.
  • Advanced data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development capability, including Power BI, Excel, fleet analytics, and other tools used to support parts availability, fleet visibility, and supply metrics.
  • Experience supporting tender submissions, asset agreement development, sales cases, cost estimates, revenue summaries, and customer-facing planning information.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Aftermarket Contracts, Lifecycle Support Services, Service Contracts, Sales Area teams, Product Specialists, Technical Support, Parts Support, and Operational Readiness stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to validate fleet reporting integrity, identify discrepancies, work with process owners, and support continuous improvement of fleet data quality and lifecycle model accuracy.
  • Experience facilitating or participating in regional or global initiatives, change management activities, small projects, and process improvement efforts related to asset, component, or lifecycle management.
  • Strong communication, presentation, training, and stakeholder support skills, with the ability to translate technical fleet and cost information into clear business insights.
