IKEA Croydon seeks a 12-month fixed-term People & Culture Business Partner to support daily retail operations. This on-site role focuses on coworker growth, onboarding, engagement, and performance, aiming to foster a high-performing culture and exceptional customer experience. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement People and Culture (P&C) solutions and activities.
  • Represent people and culture in strategic and business plan development, providing subject matter expertise.
  • Coordinate performance reviews, onboarding, and offboarding activities with stakeholders.
  • Ensure talent and succession goals and performance management are achieved, advising line managers.
  • Manage co-worker relations issues, ensuring consistency and fairness, and analyzing root causes.
  • Manage involuntary and voluntary exits for co-workers according to guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Participate in performance reviews, calibration sessions, and PIP programs.
  • Prepare reports on industry trends and data for key positions and Talent for Growth conversations.
  • Undertake regular Store Duty shifts to provide visible leadership and support smooth business operations.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in People and Culture within the retail or a related sector.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Confidence to express ideas and opinions effectively through clear communication.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly when faced with operational challenges.

Desired Qualifications

  • Relevant University degree or CIPD qualification is beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience of coaching and advising store-level line managers.
  • Experience in Performance Management.
  • Experience in Policy Management.
  • Experience in Employee Relations Case Management.
