Atlas Copco is looking for a Field Service Technician in Tasmania to perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on compressed air equipment. This autonomous role involves troubleshooting, on-site repairs, and customer support, with a competitive hourly rate starting at $45.00.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on compressed air equipment
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults
  • Completing on-site repairs, upgrades and equipment commissioning
  • Providing technical support and exceptional customer service
  • Maintaining accurate service records and completing service documentation
  • Participating in an on-call roster

Requirements

  • Trade qualification (Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic or similar)
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
  • A practical, hands-on approach with a commitment to quality workmanship
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based environment, taking ownership of your schedule and service commitments with support from a Service Planner.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence and Full Australian working rights
