Field Service Engineer for our Service Academy

Alfa Laval seeks a Field Service Engineer for its Service Academy to perform maintenance and minor repairs on standard products at customer sites. This role involves technical problem-solving, customer follow-up, and reporting, with a training program focused on future migration to the US, Canada, or Mexico.

Responsibilities

Execute maintenance and minor repairs on standard products at customer sites.
Investigate and resolve technical problems on standard products.
Prepare service jobs for efficient execution.
Follow up on customer commitments.
Write and obtain customer signatures on service reports.
Update the service execution IT system.
Report unsafe practices and incidents for continuous improvement.
Capture Installed Base on site and identify sales opportunities.
Proactively recommend spare parts purchases to customers.
Perform services in Service Centres if required.

Requirements

University degree in mechanical, electrical, electronic, electromechanical, or mechatronic engineering.
2 to 4 years of professional experience in Field equipment maintenance (client site).
Experience focused on preventive maintenance and basic corrective maintenance.
High English level.
Experience with Mechanical and Electrical maintenance.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Certifications (Tarjeta profesional o Cedula profesional).

Desired Qualifications

Knowledge in automation and process control is preferred.
