Emerson is seeking an experienced manufacturing leader for a Fabrication Supervisor role on the 2nd shift in Aiken, South Carolina. This position involves leading daily operations, managing a team, optimizing processes, and ensuring production goals are met safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Manage Kan-Ban system and MRP requirements to meet department service level goals.
- Oversee barstock inventory, including daily transactions and regular cycle counts.
- Conduct monthly department meetings and any required regulatory training.
- Manage employee performance to maintain department standards in efficiency, productivity, and accountability.
- Provide recognition and constructive feedback through formal and informal discussions.
- Maintain accurate inventory of production tools, fixtures, and process-related supplies.
- Provide training and assistance to all assigned personnel.
- Obey all safety rules and stop work if continuing is unsafe. Report all safety concerns immediately.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Industrial Technology or related field and three (3) years' experience in a manufacturing environment OR a High School Diploma or equivalent and five (5) years' experience in a fabrication manufacturing environment.
- Organizational skills and ability to work with all departments within the plant.
- Ability to handle difficult conversations regarding employee performance and conduct.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
- Ability to take initiative and make quality decisions based on known policies and procedures with minimal supervision.
- Experience with internal and/or external audits from regulatory agencies.
- Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to motivate others.
- Act as a leader with utmost integrity, professionalism, and positive attitude.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Technology is preferred.
- Supervisory experience is desired.
- Lean manufacturing experience is preferred.
