Responsibilities
- Optimize engineering budgets through analysis of vehicle verification and validation testing steps, engineering expenses, and cost categories.
- Prepare CAPEX and Capitalization requests, ensuring business decisions align with guidelines.
- Ensure transparency and accuracy of RIG cost calculations and review purchased services for machine maintenance, consumable materials, and labor hours.
- Utilize Power BI, VBA, and Python for big data management, financial modeling, and business decisions.
- Collaborate with prototype fleet management for proper phasing and cost allocation.
- Develop and maintain engineering hourly rate models, chargeability, and billable ratio concepts.
- Ensure adherence to financial processes and procedures, including proactive assessment, control evaluation, and audit support.
- Work proactively with Forecast and Budgeting during engineering development cycles to meet expense targets.
- Develop project payment plans and perform cost analysis.
- Drive team understanding of the financial impact of decisions.
- Perform project portfolio financial reporting and balancing analysis.
- Contribute to developing global and regional routines, processes, and ways of working through digitalization and automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in engineering, business, finance, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience working as a business controller in engineering prototyping and testing.
- 3 years of experience working with SAP Master Finance and SCORE management tool.
- 3 years of programming experience in Power BI, VBA, and Python for big data management.
- 3 years of experience working with vehicle verification and validation testing steps, engineering expenses, and cost categories.
- 3 years of experience calculating RIG costs.
- 3 years of experience working with CAPEX and Capitalization rules.
- Must live within commuting distance of the Greensboro, NC office.
