Responsibilities
- Act as a gWMS Functional Expert for warehouse automation and feature requests.
- Understand logistics business operations, warehouse management systems, and automated material handling equipment.
- Design functional solutions, interface specifications, and end-to-end process orchestration.
- Test integrations with KNAPP Warehouse Control System (KiSoft WCS).
- Lead functional blueprinting for automated warehouse processes (e.g., GTP picking, decanting, auto-consolidation).
- Define interface specifications and message handshakes between gWMS and KiSoft WCS.
- Ensure system logic supports strict traceability and inventory integrity.
- Author Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), user journeys, process flow diagrams, and SOPs.
- Develop and lead testing strategies for FAT, SIT, SAT, and UAT.
- Validate station ergonomics, workflows, scanner configurations, and system recovery protocols.
- Collaborate with Logistics Operations, Systems Engineering, Project Management, IT, and 3PL providers.
Requirements
- gWMS Functional Expert
- Experience in WH Automation
- Understanding of logistics business operations
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems
- Knowledge of automated Material Handling Equipment
- Experience with functional solution architecture
- Experience with interface design
- Experience with end-to-end process orchestration
- Experience testing integrations with KNAPP Warehouse Control System (KiSoft WCS)
- Experience defining interface specifications and message handshakes (RESTful APIs, message queues, socket communications)
- Experience ensuring traceability and inventory integrity
- Ability to author Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), user journeys, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Experience in Testing Lifecycle Management (FAT, SIT, SAT, UAT)
- Ability to partner with controls and automation engineers for floor validation and emulation
- Cross-Functional Collaboration skills
