Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and maintain embedded software across the full development lifecycle.
- Develop software for technology characterization, operator trials, demos, and industry showcases.
- Interact with system architects to understand high-level system design and requirements.
- Synthesize software designs based on system requirements.
- Contribute to technical design and reviews, providing engineering input.
- Perform on-target and off-target development and debugging.
- Diagnose and resolve functional, performance, and stability issues using embedded debug tools.
- Optimize performance and timing constraints in real-time embedded systems.
- Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation.
- Contribute to subsystem-level integration and testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system architects, baseband and RF SW engineers, and test engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
- Proficiency in Object-oriented software design and development.
- Understanding of multi-threading, OS fundamentals.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical ideas and work status clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work effectively across teams in a fast-paced, collaborative and diverse software engineering environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering OR 2 years of work experience in an Embedded Software Engineering field.
- Familiarity in debugging using tools such as gdb, perf, etc.
- Experience doing log-analysis to determine root cause.
- Experience analyzing and optimizing CPU utilization, latency, and throughput.
- Experience with distributed systems, client-server architectures, or cloud/edge computing.
- Experience developing or integrating end-to-end applications.
- Knowledge of network protocols, wireless systems, QoS frameworks, protocols such as 5G NR, LTE, and 802.11.
- Aptitude to seek and adopt productivity enhancement processes/tools (AI-based & other).
