We are seeking an EHS Administrator for an 18-month fixed-term role at our Taw Valley Creamery in Devon. You will support the QEHS team with administrative tasks, EHS system maintenance, and compliance monitoring to ensure adherence to standards and legal requirements.
Responsibilities
- Support the EHS team with the administration and maintenance of EHS systems, records, documentation and reports.
- Assist with inspections and improvement activities.
- Monitor EHS actions and performance, identifying areas requiring follow-up and supporting continuous improvement.
- Support compliance with environmental, health and safety legislation, Arla standards and site procedures.
- Work with colleagues across the site to promote a positive EHS culture and encourage good environmental and safety practices through business planning activities.
Requirements
- Some experience in an environmental, health & safety role, ideally within a manufacturing or food production environment (but not essential if you’ve got the right transferable skills).
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to keep on top of multiple tasks and deadlines without things slipping.
- Good communication skills and a team-focused approach, with the confidence to work with colleagues at all levels.
- A good level of attention to detail, particularly when it comes to keeping records and documentation accurate and up to date.
- A basic understanding of Environmental, Health & Safety principles and legislation, or a genuine interest in learning more.
