Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise to resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
- Support operating crews in troubleshooting equipment problems.
- Offer guidance to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the dispatch center to optimize train cycles and minimize disruptions.
- Develop and review Risk Assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) processes align with company and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain strong technical knowledge to address evolving challenges.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve operational resilience.
- Support a culture of continuous learning and adaptability within the team.
- Review and enhance HSE procedures to ensure compliance at all levels of the business.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Systems, or a related field.
- Experience or understanding of troubleshooting mechanical problems and providing technical guidance.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance within the transportation or engineering sectors.
- Familiarity with equipment/train cycles and operational processes.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with operating crews and dispatch center staff.
- Ability to develop Risk Assessments and support HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) processes.
- Resilience and adaptability to manage high-pressure situations and minimize service disruptions.
- Leadership mindset to provide guidance and technical assistance to team members.
