Responsibilities
- Maintenance and upkeep of the data center infrastructure.
- Server rack installation, hardware break-fix on various components, and troubleshooting network issues.
- Responding to emergent situations that affect operational stability.
- Acting as the primary contact point for internal customers and external service partners.
- Meeting SLAs against assigned trouble tickets and performing first-line hardware troubleshooting.
- Performing on-call duties and participating in Data Center operations, including scheduled maintenance and change management.
- Participating in team meetings for metric analysis and goal discussion.
- Contributing to documentation on technical issues through root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives.
- Assisting in training less experienced team members (for more experienced technicians).
- Physical tasks including lifting and racking equipment up to 18kg, potentially in cramped or elevated spaces.
- Covering 24x7 shift rotation.
Requirements
- 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
- 1+ years of computer networking experience.
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- Ability to lift & rack equipment up to 18kg.
- Willingness to work in cramped spaces or elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines.
- Availability for 24x7 shift rotation.
- Knowledge of safety and security policies and procedures.
