Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain large databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
  • Take the lead on the design, implementation, and delivery of large-scale, complex, or critical database solutions.
  • Ensure solutions are robust, stable, scalable, and adaptable.
  • Be accountable for the quality of architecture, design, and implementation of systems.
  • Act as a consultant to software teams and data science teams.
  • Research and benchmark technology against competing systems.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of data engineering experience
  • 4+ years of SQL experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
  • Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)
