As a Microsoft Data Center Technician in West Drayton, you will stage, set up, and perform hardware deployments, troubleshooting, and diagnostics. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting, identifying and replacing faulty components with minimal disruption.
- Conduct post-execution quality checks for grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling according to standards.
- Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes following standard procedures.
- Communicate, report, and escalate incidents to appropriate management and engineering teams.
- Assist and provide guidance to other technicians on challenging tasks.
- Complete required training and observe experienced technicians for hands-on experience.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing information and participating in meetings.
- Demonstrate pride and accountability for service quality and data center facilities.
- Embody company culture and values.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and components.
- Experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
- Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
- Applicable certifications: CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), Basic Structure Cabling (BSC).
Benefits
- Typical base pay range for this role across United Kingdom is £ 36,300.00 - £ 50,100.00 per year (ATR-C).
- Typical base pay range for this role across United Kingdom is £ 34,400.00 - £ 43,300.00 per year (ATR-B).
