As a Microsoft Data Center Technician in West Drayton, you will stage, set up, and perform hardware deployments, troubleshooting, and diagnostics. Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting, identifying and replacing faulty components with minimal disruption.
  • Conduct post-execution quality checks for grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling according to standards.
  • Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes following standard procedures.
  • Communicate, report, and escalate incidents to appropriate management and engineering teams.
  • Assist and provide guidance to other technicians on challenging tasks.
  • Complete required training and observe experienced technicians for hands-on experience.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing information and participating in meetings.
  • Demonstrate pride and accountability for service quality and data center facilities.
  • Embody company culture and values.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware and components.
  • Experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
  • Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
  • Applicable certifications: CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), Basic Structure Cabling (BSC).

Benefits

  • Typical base pay range for this role across United Kingdom is £ 36,300.00 - £ 50,100.00 per year (ATR-C).
  • Typical base pay range for this role across United Kingdom is £ 34,400.00 - £ 43,300.00 per year (ATR-B).
