Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership for successful critical system troubleshooting, unit commissioning, repairs/replacements with little to no supervision in quality, quantity and timeliness as assigned.
  • Operate critical plant equipment as authorized by facilities manager.
  • Provide coordination/input for global facilities programs such as in electrical, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Building Management System (BMS), energy savings, training and thermography.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of Electrical experience (e.g., electrical testing equipment or electrical distribution) in an industrial or commercial environment.
  • Ability to participate in material handling tasks such as lifting, carrying or moving up to 50 lbs (23 kg) of equipment, the required use of safety equipment such as limited weight bearing work platforms, ladders, step stools and personal protective equipment (PPE) like safety harnesses in accordance with safety and ergonomic guidelines and assessments.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours and differing work rotations/shifts.

Desired Qualifications

  • 7 years of experience in maintenance of electrical distribution systems or construction/technical environment or a related field.
  • Experience in data centers, hospitals, or power plants.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems used in a data center environment (e.g., feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units).
  • Knowledge of meters, devices, sensors, and troubleshooting utilizing standard hand tools, digital metering, or calibration/diagnostic equipment.
  • Understanding of PUE/WUE and energy efficiencies of a plant.
