Qualcomm seeks a Staff Engineer in Bangalore, India, to develop and optimize CPU software for high performance and low power consumption. Responsibilities

  • Leverage CPU Architecture knowledge to develop and optimize software for high performance and low power.
  • Run benchmarks for applications and perform critical pre- and post-silicon verification.
  • Develop new benchmarks for upcoming areas and workloads.
  • Understand software workloads (libraries, compiler, assembly, runtime, algorithms) and evaluate optimization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal (CPU, Compiler, Kernel) and external (benchmark vendors, open source community) teams.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of Software Engineering or related experience.
  • Excellent in programming using C/C++/Assembly/Python/Javascript.
  • In-depth Understanding of software stack - Linux Internals/device drivers.
  • Strong understanding of Computer architecture and Operating system concepts.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
