Qualcomm is looking for a CPU Firmware Verification and Validation Engineer to design, develop, and validate embedded and cloud edge software. This role requires strong programming skills in languages like C, C++, Java, or Python, and experience with source code management systems. Responsibilities

Design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs.
Analyze user needs, software requirements, and time and cost constraints to design and customize software for optimal operational efficiency.
Design and implement software modules for large-scale products and systems.
Participate in and lead design, coding, unit testing, debugging, and integration efforts.
Perform complex code reviews and regression tests, and triage and fix issues.
Collaborate with Hardware, Systems, and Test engineers.
Write detailed technical documentation for complex Software projects.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Provide supervision/guidance to other team members.
Make significant decisions that affect work beyond the immediate work group.
Utilize verbal and written communication skills to convey information.
Have a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions.
Perform tasks that require multiple steps, extensive planning, problem-solving, and prioritization.

Desired Qualifications

Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
8+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
3+ years of experience with Database Management Software.
3+ years of experience with API.
1+ year of work experience with Git, Perforce, or Source Code Management System.
