Responsibilities
- Lead local privacy and data protection activities, ensuring compliance with policies, requirements, and legislation.
- Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), privacy reviews, and risk assessments for solutions, technologies, processes, and data management.
- Respond to privacy-related inquiries from customers, employees, and stakeholders, providing guidance.
- Investigate and manage privacy incidents and data breaches, coordinating containment, risk assessment, documentation, and communications.
- Maintain and update privacy risk registers, identifying emerging risks and implementing mitigation measures.
- Support the management of privacy requirements throughout the supplier lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Legal, Information Security, IT, Risk Management, and business teams to embed privacy-by-design principles.
- Build privacy awareness and maturity by guiding stakeholders on requirements, policies, and best practices.
- Monitor changes in privacy legislation and recommend improvements to processes and controls.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve privacy practices, governance frameworks, and operational processes.
Requirements
- University degree and 4+ years of related experience, or 8+ years of related experience in privacy, compliance, risk management, legal, information security, or a related field.
- Experience responding to privacy and data protection inquiries.
- Proven experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and privacy reviews.
- Experience managing privacy incidents and data breaches.
- Strong understanding of privacy legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Experience partnering with Legal, Information Security, IT, Risk Management, Procurement, and business teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
