Responsibilities

  • Drafts, negotiates, and executes complex, high-impact supplier agreements in collaboration with legal, stakeholders, sourcing, finance, and other cross-functional areas.
  • Collaborates with sourcing, stakeholders, legal, and other SMEs to develop contract strategies to protect Qualcomm's business, IP, and leadership positions.
  • Researches, analyzes, and presents contractual positions (i.e., liability, confidentiality, etc.) in collaboration with stakeholders and SMEs, focusing on assessment/risk mitigation.
  • Leads and manages contract management systems and related business processes in accordance with business unit requirements.
  • Drives contract process improvements to support business objectives, reduce cycle time, and eliminate non-value-added costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Business, Political Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in drafting, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating procurement contracts.
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Communication, Business, Political Science, or related field and 2+ years of Contract Administration experience or related work experience.
  • OR Associate's degree in Communication, Business, Political Science, or related field and 4+ years of Contract Administration experience or related work experience.
  • OR High School diploma or equivalent in Communication, Business, Political Science, or related field and 6+ years of Contract Administration experience or related work experience.
  • Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

  • Collaborates effectively with cross-functional and multicultural teams across business, legal, sourcing, finance, engineering, and other stakeholder groups.
  • Communicates complex contractual issues clearly and effectively to stakeholders with varying levels of contract, business, and technical knowledge.
  • Leads contract-related initiatives, escalations, and process improvements that support business objectives, mitigate risk, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Influences key stakeholder decisions by providing practical, business-oriented contract guidance and risk-based recommendations.
  • Supports the development and implementation of contract strategies, templates, playbooks, and business processes aligned with organizational objectives.
