Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (MCO+I) seeks a Construction Project Manager to lead PPMOF initiatives across Southeast Asia. This role involves managing scope, schedule, and budget, coordinating with stakeholders, and driving adoption of innovative offsite fabrication solutions to ensure project success, safety, and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead PPMOF initiatives across projects in Southeast Asia, ensuring alignment between design, fabrication, logistics, installation, commissioning, and quality.
  • Drive planning, engineering, procurement, prefabrication, pre-assembly, modularization, and offsite fabrication adoption for schedule optimization, enhanced safety and quality, and reduced onsite risk.
  • Develop, manage, and report on project scope, schedule, and budget, and implement project controls.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for PPMOF activities, coordinating with vendors, cost managers, and stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary focal point for PPMOF initiatives, facilitating collaboration and decision-making.
  • Influence and coach internal and external partners to resolve complex PPMOF-related issues.
  • Oversee cost-effective solutions for project delivery.
  • Engage, advise, and collaborate with internal teams to maintain corporate vision and goals.
  • Review and provide feedback on resource procurement, allocation, and inventory.
  • Oversee the deployment of PPMOF delivery solutions and manage teams against KPIs.
  • Establish governance records, performance metrics, risk registers, and leadership reports.
  • Establish, review, approve, and communicate risk mitigation goals and develop metrics.
  • Advocate for safe worksites by adhering to organizational and industry procedures.
  • Analyze and recommend innovative PPMOF delivery options utilizing best practices.
  • Identify and resolve design, manufacturing, logistics, and execution challenges.
  • Direct and oversee vendor management, ensuring compliance with policies and contracts.
  • Manage the preparation of RFPs, PERs, and other project approval tools.
  • Drive quality excellence by establishing and enforcing fabrication, inspection, testing, and handover requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years related OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience working on data center / mission critical facility projects.
  • Willingness to travel upto 50% travel.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
  • Must pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Desired Qualifications

  • Construction health & safety knowledge.
  • Experience managing multiple large multi-faceted projects.
  • Good knowledge of Prefabrication, Preassembly, Modularization, Offsite Fabrication (PPMOF) and Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DfMA) principles, including module development, standardization, and manufacturing integration.
  • Ability to establish governance frameworks, drive standardization, manage decision gates, and lead cross-project replication initiatives.
  • Expertise in coordinating design, fabrication, logistics, installation, commissioning, and handover activities to achieve schedule certainty and delivery efficiency.
  • Good understanding of MEP systems, modular construction, production engineering, constructability reviews, fabrication processes, FAT/SAT, and commissioning requirements.
  • Experience managing OEMs, fabricators, integrators, logistics providers, and supplier qualification processes.
  • Knowledge of QA/QC systems, ITPs, FAT/FWT requirements, risk mitigation, and Microsoft EHS principles.
  • High personal standard to deliver a thoughtful, polished and quality work product.
  • Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
  • Excellent client relationship skills.
  • Growth mindset.
  • English Proficiency, Malay, Indonesian Preferred.
  • PMP certification
