Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) seeks a Construction Project Management IC5 to manage construction projects, including budget oversight, change management, and vendor selection. Responsibilities

  • Monitors approved project budget, provides oversight, and suggests necessary adjustments for project controls.
  • Partners with internal CO+I and other Microsoft stakeholders to implement new processes for cost savings and improved efficiencies.
  • Attends and advises during scheduled owner/architect/contractor and other project meetings.
  • Facilitates the delivery of metro-based/campus projects by making timely data-based decisions.
  • Creates and applies best practices to identify and incorporate cost-effective solutions.
  • Collaborates and contributes technical knowledge to internal teams and General Contractors/Subcontractors.
  • Oversees timely execution of all procurement activities associated with resourcing and materials.
  • Drives campus-based delivery solutions and analyzes technical information.
  • Assists with creating and reporting on project progress regarding scope, schedule, standards, and budget.
  • Communicates risk mitigation goals and develops metrics to track progress.
  • Represents Microsoft as a safety leader and advocate, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Reviews engineering documentation/designs, site, and building plans.
  • Advises and monitors the performance of vendors and/or contractors.
  • Reviews and approves vendor scope of work, design review, pay-application, and invoices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years related experience OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
  • Must pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years related experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years experience working on data center projects.

Benefits

  • The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year.
  • For the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
  • Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
