Volvo Penta is seeking a CNC Machine Operator in Lexington, TN to operate CNC machining equipment, ensure quality parts, and maintain a safe work environment. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift heavy parts. This is a permanent, full-time position with an hourly pay range of $18.38 - $22.70.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate CNC machining equipment to produce quality parts.
- Verify part quality using measuring equipment and notify Tool Technician of out-of-tolerance parts.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Support continuous improvement activities related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Monitor and clean coolant systems.
- Perform housekeeping of areas other than immediate workstation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Ability to read and write.
- Basic computer skills for Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Accountability: Take the lead and accept responsibility.
- Must be able to lift heavy parts.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous CNC machining, machine operation, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Technical or vocational training in machining, CNC technology, or a related field is beneficial.
- On-the-job training is provided.
