Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machine tools, including lathes and machining centers.
- Perform rough and finish machining operations on ferrous, non-ferrous, and alloy metal components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, setup sheets, tooling instructions, and process documentation.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment to verify product quality and conformance to specifications.
- Perform first-run trials and make machine adjustments as needed.
- Enter and edit offsets and program corrections at machine control consoles.
- Inspect parts throughout production runs and make adjustments to compensate for tool wear.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes, cycle times, tooling, and overall operational efficiency.
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company safety and quality procedures.
- Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Technical or vocational training in machining or a related field.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience setting up and operating CNC machining equipment.
- Ability to use overhead cranes and jib-boom hoists.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
