Emerson is looking for a CAD Automation Engineer in Chennai, India to develop automated tools for generating general agreement drawings and product drawings. This hybrid role requires experience with Autodesk/NX CAD and programming languages like VB.Net, C++, or Python, along with knowledge of PLM and ERP software.
Responsibilities
- Understand the construction of each product and create the assembly workflow.
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand the products.
- Automate product drawings with respect to the assembly workflow for the preparation of General Arrangement Drawing.
- Write code for product drawing automation.
- Test the product within our applications in cooperation with other team members.
- Troubleshoot the issues during deployment of each product drawing.
- Contribute to the overall quality of the organization in the testing of all products.
- Collaborate with other teams during deployment of product drawings to Production.
- Develop the document for assembly workflow.
- Coordinate with team members and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Autodesk Products/ NX CAD.
- Experience with VB.Net, C, C++ or Python.
- Knowledge in Inventor iLogic.
- Experience with PLM Software preferably Teamcenter.
- Experience in ERP Software. (SAP/Oracle Preferred)
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical/Automobile/Aeronautical/Production Engineering
- Basic understanding of Engineering Standards
- Experience with creating Models and assemblies.
- Good knowledge of OOPS concepts, Power Platforms and best practices.
- Good Knowledge in MS Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
