Responsibilities
- Boost market intelligence on new renewables technologies and stakeholders in China.
- Build and communicate understanding of relevant regulations and strategic plans in China.
- Facilitate collaboration between central and Chinese sales companies.
- Develop local market outlooks, market studies, and assess business potentials.
- Build external stakeholder networks (institutes, licensors, integrators, end-users).
- Drive local customer trails for new and existing customers.
- Adapt renewables communication material for the Chinese market.
- Plan and execute strategies to establish thought leadership in China.
- Interact with the global community and travel to global events.
- Develop partnerships with key players in bio-chemicals and bio-polymers.
- Present Alfa Laval’s offering at industry events and seminars.
Requirements
- PhD in industrial fermentation, microbiology, bio-chemical, or syn-bio OR research experience in related processes.
- 5+ years of experience in business development roles.
- Experience working in a matrix organization.
- Strong specialization in the process equipment industry linking to industrial production processes in the biotechnology/renewable chemicals industry is highly preferred.
- Passionate about sustainability, renewables, and making a difference through technology.
- Strong business acumen and communication skills.
- Team player comfortable working cross-organizationally and cross-culturally.
- Willingness to travel in and outside of China Mainland.
- Fluent English (speaking and writing).
