As an Azure Customer Engineer (ACE) within Microsoft's ACES Sovereign organization, you will be the primary technical leader for strategic customers, ensuring their Azure environments are resilient, secure, and compliant. This role involves managing complex support cases, driving proactive improvements, and influencing Azure engineering teams with an AI-first approach.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor for strategic customers, ensuring their critical workloads are resilient and aligned with Azure best practices.
  • Drive measurable improvements in customer health through proactive risk identification and data-driven assessments.
  • Analyze customer architectures and operational patterns to identify gaps and recommend actions for reliability and operational maturity.
  • Own customer engagement across the lifecycle: prevention, detection, incident response, and recovery.
  • Provide executive-level coordination and communication during critical customer events.
  • Convert incidents and escalations into durable improvements across customers and the platform.
  • Drive durable, repeatable improvements that address systemic issues across customers, services, and scenarios.
  • Translate customer pain points, incidents, and operational gaps into platform-level enhancements and influence product design.
  • Drive alignment across engineering, product, business, and support teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Influence decision-making across teams, shaping priorities and tradeoffs.
  • Drive a portfolio of initiatives with multi-quarter impact, delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Translate business priorities and customer signals into clear strategies and execution plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science/Analytics, Math, Business, or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in the technology industry, cloud, product/technical program management, and/or customer experience engineering.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements, including Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
  • Verification of citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions, supporting United States government agency customers.
