Saab Australia is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer in Mawson Lakes, South Australia, to support the delivery and sustainment of defence capabilities. This role offers opportunities to develop systems engineering skills and requires a fundamental understanding of systems engineering principles, with experience in defence technologies being desirable.

Responsibilities

Assist in gathering and analysing system requirements from stakeholders.
Support the development of requirements documentation and traceability matrices.
Contribute to the creation of system architecture and design specifications.
Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to ensure system requirements are met.
Aid in the integration of hardware and software components into the system.
Work alongside experienced engineers to implement system solutions and configurations.
Participate in testing activities, including functional, integration, and system testing.

Requirements

Up to 2 years’ experience in Systems Engineering activities prior to this role.
Fundamental understanding of systems engineering principles and practices.
Applicants must be Australian citizens.
Must hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to baseline/NV1/NV2 level.

Desired Qualifications

Basic familiarity with military systems or related defence technologies is desirable.
Familiarity of System Engineering in an ASDEFCON context is desirable.
