As an As-Is Sales Team Leader at IKEA in Brooklyn, you will lead and develop product quality initiatives within the retail store, focusing on continuous improvement and reducing quality issues. Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and manage product quality work in the retail store.
  • Drive competence development and awareness around correcting identified issues.
  • Perform investigations and create reports to reduce product quality issues.
  • Act as a member of the Recovery team and contribute to common objectives.
  • Ensure all recovery processes (repackaging, confirmation, recycling, building, pricing, SAMS, spare parts library maintenance) are completed consistently.
  • Ensure all quality claims meet the 24-hour mandatory reporting requirement and are resolved.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the store and Service Office regarding quality claims.
  • Process all related claims documentation and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Reconcile and ensure credit to the store for all quality claims.
  • Report and investigate all store product and packaging quality problems, communicating them to matrix partners.
  • Work with Imonitor quality related questions and champion necessary changes for compliance.
  • Ensure all store stakeholders are informed about product quality issues.
  • Contribute to an environment where IKEA culture embraces diversity.

Requirements

  • 3 years of solid experience of business processes and working methods within retailing.
  • 3 years of experience in managing, leading, and developing people preferably in a customer-centric service or retail environment.
  • Understanding of business processes and working methods within IKEA retailing.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles, budgeting and resource allocation, retail store operations and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
  • Open Availability Required Monday-Sunday including holidays, nights and weekends.
