Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and algorithms to improve cross-border shopping experience.
- Analyze large-scale datasets to identify patterns, formulate hypotheses, and design experiments.
- Develop and iterate on ML models including deep learning, NLP, ranking, and causal inference.
- Design and run A/B experiments on live traffic.
- Write production-quality code (Python, Java/Scala) and deploy models into real-time and batch inference pipelines.
- Build end-to-end ML pipelines from data ingestion to online serving.
- Own model monitoring, performance debugging, and iterative improvements post-launch.
- Translate business problems into science problems and communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Contribute to technical documentation.
- Present at internal ML paper reading sessions and science forums.
- Mentor junior scientists and interns.
- Publish findings in top-tier venues and file patents.
Requirements
- 3+ years of building models for business application experience.
- PhD, or Master's degree.
- Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
- Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing.
