In short

We are looking for an early-career Applications Engineering Engineer in Da Nang, Vietnam, to provide technical support for Synopsys Design Implementation and Verification tools. You will troubleshoot physical design flows, collaborate with R&D, and build customer relationships. This role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field, knowledge of Verilog and Linux, and scripting skills.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on technical support for customers using Synopsys Design Implementation and Verification tools.
Troubleshoot issues in physical design flows like floorplanning, placement, CTS, routing, and timing closure.
Take ownership of customer technical cases from initial investigation through resolution.
Debug tool behavior, analyze design data, and work with customers to deploy solutions.
Collaborate with R&D engineering teams to escalate complex issues and communicate customer requirements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by proactively following up on open issues.
Work with Synopsys Fusion Compiler, ICC2, and related signoff tools to optimize implementation methodologies.
Create and refine technical documentation, application notes, and best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Understanding of ASIC physical design and implementation methodologies, including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and static timing analysis.
Working knowledge of Verilog and digital design fundamentals.
Comfort with Linux or Unix environments and scripting in Tcl, Python, Perl, or Shell.
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers and internal teams.

Desired Qualifications

Exposure to Synopsys Fusion Compiler, ICC2, or related signoff tools is a strong plus.
Application Engineering experience supporting implementation flows or customer-facing technical roles is a plus.
