Autoliv is seeking an Application Senior Engineer to develop and validate steering wheel and driver airbag products. Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate Steering Wheel and Driver Airbag products pre and post-SoP.
  • Lead, execute, and support various project activities during technical phases of awarded programs.
  • Collaborate with all Cross Functional Team (CFT) members (divisional and global).
  • Interface with OEMs, internal supporting groups, manufacturing facilities, and suppliers.
  • Negotiate styling versus Autoliv standard design/processes with the customer.
  • Validate and launch global programs with global team members.
  • Balance manufacturing ease with customer needs.
  • Understand customer specifications and ensure product is designed/validated accordingly.
  • Drive the design to meet 1P1P expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Technical leadership
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Design / CAD experience
  • Perform Tolerance Stack analysis
  • Apply GD&T on Drawings
  • Ability to understand manufacturing needs (e.g., Die cast, RIM, Injection Molding, Stamping, Assy)
  • Interpreting CAE Results
  • Problem Solving Skills
