Responsibilities
- Develop, negotiate, and implement strategies for improved supply chain performance, product quality, innovative technology, and value.
- Drive negotiations and executive agreements with suppliers within the assigned portfolio.
- Contribute to the portfolio business plan and actively participate in the global network of Buyers.
- Collaborate with global supply chain members to develop and execute global supply chain and technology strategies.
- Utilize the Volvo Performance System (VPS) toolbox to enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Drive activities to meet Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Features (QDCF) targets.
- Monitor, identify, and mitigate risks in cooperation with the Supply Network Quality (SNQ) team.
- Forecast cost evolution for the scope of responsibility.
- Manage and negotiate product/process changes.
- Perform daily purchasing activities related to aftermarket orders, logistics, and financial flows to suppliers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of automotive purchasing experience (e.g., end-to-end supplier relationship management, sourcing, negotiations, contracts), business development, or related internal experience.
- Experience within the automotive manufacturing industry and aftermarket.
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Strong business acumen and agile work style.
- Desire to work collaboratively within a team towards a common purpose.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent working experience).
- Legally authorized to work in the United States, without requiring future sponsorship.

- Experience in aftermarket, purchasing, finance, business control, supply chain, and supplier quality within Volvo Group is beneficial.
- Insights into negotiation, finance, and supplier management provide a strong foundation.
