Responsibilities

Administer, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise backup and recovery environments using Commvault.
Ensure successful execution of backup operations, recovery requests, and data protection compliance.
Resolve incidents, support business continuity, and disaster recovery requirements.
Monitor daily backup jobs, investigate failures, and resolve performance issues.
Perform backup, restore, and recovery operations for various data types and systems.
Administer Commvault CommServe, Media Agents, and Client Agents.
Monitor storage utilization, deduplication, and retention.
Support Commvault software patching, updates, and maintenance.
Troubleshoot backup failures, network issues, and restore-related incidents.
Conduct root cause analysis for backup issues and coordinate with various IT teams.
Support disaster recovery testing and backup validation exercises.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly backup operation reports.
Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles.

Requirements

Commvault Backup & Recovery Administration.
Backup Monitoring and Alert Management.
Backup Failure Analysis and Troubleshooting.
File, VM, and Database Restore Operations.
Windows and Linux Server Fundamentals.
Storage, Deduplication, and Retention Concepts.
ITIL Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
