Accountant II plays a crucial role in the Finance and Accounting team, overseeing transactions, journal entries, account reconciliation, reporting, budgeting, and taxes. Responsibilities
- Month-end close reconciliation, transactions, journal entries
- Supporting internal reporting needs, such as KPI reporting
- Ensuring financial controls and good corporate governance are followed
- Reviewing financial transactions for accuracy and completeness and launching corrective actions
- Bank reconciliation
- Participating in internal audits
- Intercompany reporting and transactions
- Serving as a backup for payroll
- Advising on best GAAP or IFRS best practices
- Serving as a backup for entering and processing AP invoices
- Serving as a backup for entering and processing AR invoices
- Working with the tax team in reporting and compliance
- Investigating budget variances
- Reviewing compliance with internal procedures and writing or editing work instructions and policies
- Monitoring cost accounting, including part standard costs, production rates and standards
- Managing and monitoring the reimbursement and expense processes
- Financial statement preparation and reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5 years’ relevant work experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting functions including GAAP or IFRS
- Ability to professionally and effectively communicate verbally and in writing with customers, vendors, and other employees
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
- Excellent analytical, computational, and mathematical abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- High level of integrity and trustworthiness
- Knowledge of or experience with ERP or bookkeeping software
