- Perform month-end closing activities, including accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly trial balance and ensure its accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare statutory tax declarations (e.g. VAT, corporate tax, SAF-T).
- Ensure compliance with local tax and accounting regulations.
- Reconcile statutory accounting records with group reporting figures and investigate any discrepancies.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Collaborate with internal departments and group finance teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data.
- Continuously improve accounting processes and controls.
Requirements
- Accounting expertise with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights and accurate reporting.
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach, ensuring precision, compliance, and consistent process improvement.
- Analytical thinking, including the capability to interpret complex financial information, identify discrepancies, and propose effective solutions.
- Knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial compliance requirements relevant to the Romanian market.
