Designation-Sr. Manager- Supply Chain Management

Location- Mumbai

Report to-SCM Enablers Head

About the function- An international telecommunications company is seeking a talented Supply Chain Professional to join its Supply Chain Management team. This position is based in Mumbai/Pune, India. The Company provides national long distance, subsea cable capacity, international voice services, MPLS, Internet transit, SaaS, Global SIP, IoT, mobility, cloud and other products worldwide.


Purpose of your Role
The candidate will be responsible for leading key and high focus initaitives and drive improvements within Supply Chain Management including Supplier Management, Compliance and Audits, process documentation. 

Monitor and evaluate the performance of the SCM function (including continuous analysis and reporting of Procurement KPIs) on an ongoing basis and develop reports for senior management.

Work effectively with end users and other members of the Supply Management team to develop more effective monitoring and reporting methods

Provide regular and ad-hoc management information reports to CSCO and other members of the team: 

- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the SCM function (including continuous analysis and reporting of Procurement KPIs) on an ongoing basis and develop reports for senior management

- Prepare and reconcile overall procurement targets

- Perform supply market analysis and review industry reports and trends and share relevant information with other members of the team

- Work effectively with end users and other members of the Supply Management team to develop more effective monitoring and reporting methods


Purpose of your Role

To lead Supply Chain Management team for multiple business entites as per business and customer needs and in accordance with policy guidelines from Compliance, Security, Finance etc.

The candidate is also expected to lead multiple initiatives at same time and should be very well versed with multi-tasking, priortization, work load balancing depending upon business and customer needs.

The candidate should be able to manage and drive supplier engagements with key stakeholders and arrive at consensus. The stakeholders may range from Operations, Finance, Tax, Sales and Product. The candidate should be able to articulate the need of transformation, its importance and communicate it very effectively to wider audience.

The candidate should be able to put best in class agile and project management practices in place while driving projects. The candidate should be confident enough to face and own external and internal audits and address questions and queries from stakeholders and incorporate feedback in case of any observation.

Attention to detail without losing big business and customer picture and creating win win situation for all stakeholders are key ingredients for this role. Good stakeholder management, team spirit, result orientation, solution approach are absolutely critical for this role.

  • Minimum 12  years of Supply Chain Experience, particularly in International and telecom domain.
  • Professional Certification in Project Management like Project Management Professional (PMP) would be an added advantage.
  • Should have keen interest in transformation and continuous improvements.
  • Good understanding of Supply Chain disruptions and innovations would be key in driving transformation.
  • Educational Background: BE/B TECH preferably from Electronic and Telecommunication domain, MBA from top institute is highly recommeded
  • Prior experience in Transformation and Project Management in international market would be preferred.
