What You'll Do

This role is key to the Application Management team in Legal IT and its ability to meet and exceed the expectations of our business partners. The role supports this by managing and supporting a wide range of Legal applications on varied technology stack, from Java/Oracle to MEAN to SaaS solutions like Salesforce, both On-prem and in Cloud. A great opportunity to interact directly with our business partners on a day-to-day basis and solving real world problems for them.

You will work cross functionally within the HR and Legal IT, Legal Product Owners, business partners, Security & Trust along with Cisco IT broader team including Infrastructure, Networking and Data Analytics, to enable exciting future of work for Cisco!

The winning candidate:

  • Experience with agile software development and LEAN/continuous delivery methodologies
  • In-depth programming knowledge in all or some of the following:
  1.  
    1. Programming Languages: Java (J2SE & J2EE), Python, Servlets, JSP, JSTL, EJB, JDBC, JMS, JNDI, JAXB, JAX-WS, JAX-RPC, Spring/Struts/Hibernate, ElasticSearch
    2. Web Technologies: MEAN Stack, Angular JS, NodeJS, AJAX, JQuery, XSLT, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML and CSS.
    3. Database: Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MySQL, No SQL (Mongo DB)
  • Proven experience in automated testing (unit/integration/regression)
  • App / Web Servers: IBM WebSphere 7/6/5, Tomcat 6/5, WebLogic, JBoss
  • Experience with Salesforce and MuleSoft integrations is a plus
  • Experience with message queue design patterns
  • Experience with Python is a plus
  • Experience in 3rd party hosted cloud computing (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Create build / package scripts for deploying applications using GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible and similar tools
  • Experience designing, developing, securing and managing APIs via API Gateways and proxies
  • Excellent decision-making and analytical skills to solve complex business problems
  • Ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced environment and effectively collaborate across global teams
  • Organized verbal and written business communication that effectively achieves business objectives
  • Strong customer focus and can-do attitude with an eye for process simplification and digitization
  • Apply specific business knowledge and general discernment to support effective IT engagement
  • Experience in Legal technology domain is desired

Minimum Requirements:

  • At minimum Bachelor’s in Engineering degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Communications, Information Science or equivalent fields
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience as Software Engineer/Team Lead/Architect with a firm grasp on the newest technology trends in the industry.

The individual will lead our talented engineers in designing, developing, testing, and deploying robust cloud-based software solutions. As an Engineering Leader within the Network eXperience organization, you will be a part of a team to help design, development, and operation of key microservices focused on cloud network experience, traffic optimization and insights related that our Umbrella and Cisco Secure Access products offer.  This is a small team that does big things.   What You'll Do   Lead and manage the development of scalable SaaS products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement software solutions. Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to delivery and continuous improvement.
