Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Technical or Engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in a customer-facing role, interfacing with executive stakeholders to lead pre-sales, technical implementations, consulting engagements, or other initiatives.
  • 3 years of experience with AI/ML technologies across verticals.
  • Experience in applying AI/ML capabilities to real world problems.
     

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a Management, Technical, or Engineering field.
  • 10 years of experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience in managing a sales pipeline, value consulting, proposal development and execution, writing and negotiating contractual documents.
  • Experience collaborating with channel partners, systems integrators, and other third-parties to deliver and manage implementation of solutions.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on negotiating and delivering successful projects with partners.

As an AI Engagement Manager (EM), you will serve as the Business Development Manager in Professional Services’ AI Practice, where you will use customer-facing skills and technical acumen to function as the go-to-market lead for Google Cloud Consulting (GCC). You will interface with our customers to define and contract a services strategy which will enable them to realize their business objectives throughout their Cloud Adoption Journey. You will drive business development activities to build innovative customer programs that are focused on Google’s Machine Learning solutions, focused on partnering with organizations to apply Machine Learning to solve complex business challenges.

In this role, your experience with services pre-sales, strategy development, and enterprise technology will play a critical part in your day-to-day work driving success for our most important customers. You will directly support a multi-customer portfolio of both pre-sales pursuits and active accounts, focused on supporting our customer adoption of Google’s Machine Learning solutions while managing GCC’s key financial metrics. You will regularly engage with diverse stakeholder groups, including executives of large enterprises and a cross-functional, geographically dispersed team within Google. You will utilize their relationship management, leadership skills, and technical background to effectively communicate at all levels of the Customer and Google organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Engineering teams to understand customer requirements and develop an AI/ML services strategy for individual accounts and act as the point of contact for services in partnership with the Sales team.
  • Shape, scope, and structure AI programs across verticals that will deliver outstanding impact to customers, and leverage the best of Google Cloud solutions.
  • Collaborate with the customer team to accelerate Google Cloud adoption by qualifying opportunities, pitching services, capturing customer requirements, developing implementation strategies for customer accounts and acting as the point of contact for GCC services.
  • Manage scope, timeline, and cost for creating relevant contractual frameworks. Manage portfolio level financial metrics, bookings and credits, and staffing forecast.
  • Represent Google Cloud at C-level conversations to advise, shape, and structure programs to drive outstanding customer impact.
