Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience in architecting and writing database or analytics code (e.g. data pipelines) and scripts in one or more languages (e.g., Python, Go, etc.).
     
  • Experience in designing and maintaining internet-facing data backends in distributed, virtualized, or containerized environments.
     

Preferred qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience managing customer/client-facing big data consulting projects to completion and handling technical delivery.
     
  • Experience building multi-tier high availability applications with modern web technologies (e.g., SQL databases, NoSQL databases, Kafka, MongoDB, SparkML, TensorFlow).
     
  • Experience working with data warehouses, including technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ELT, reporting/analytic tools and environments, and data structures.
     
  • Experience with non-relational platforms and tools for large-scale data processing (e.g., information retrieval, data mining, machine learning).
     
  • Experience architecting and developing software or internet scale production-grade big data solutions in distributed environments.
     
  • Expertise in Google Cloud Platform's suite of Big Data technologies.

As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical relationship of our largest advertising clients and/or product partners. You will lead cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales and Product Management to leverage emerging technologies for our external clients/partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's online advertising platforms and/or product partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Provide deep technical expertise on a suite of Big Data technologies including databases, data warehouses, reporting tools, messaging systems, data pipelines/ETL/ELT systems, storage systems, job orchestration systems, and data catalog systems on any cloud platform or OSS stack.
  • Design and deliver high-quality solutions including sample code and solve complex technical customer challenges.
  • Work with internal and external clients/partners and understand their needs.
  • Create and deliver best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code, and technical presentations to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders.
