What you'll do...

Our union workforce is essential for delivering the innovative products that will drive our organization forward. In this key position, you will oversee the day-to-day functions of the Labor Relations Office. You will serve a vital role in maintaining positive union/management relations. You will:

  • Encouraging an effective, inclusive work environment / culture and relationships, balancing employee advocacy with stewardship of company goals and values
  • Leading HR efforts related to investigations, governmental inquiries / charges, grievance resolution, performance and absence management, complaints of unfair employment practices / discrimination, and disciplinary action, and Affirmative Action Planning
  • Coaching, counseling, and educating salaried operations partners on HR policies, processes, programs, and plans
  • Tracking and reporting on manpower planning data and strategies to support our customer
  • Support hourly and salary personnel recruiting and hiring, Personnel Relations activities and health and safety activities as required
  • Deliver HR products and services in accordance with applicable employment laws, regulatory agencies, regulations, policies, and practices (e.g. ethics, health and safety)
  • Build strong relationships with Operations partners, Union representatives, HR colleagues and experts, and other business partners to jointly deliver business objectives and resolve issues
  • Analyze data and use technology to proactively identify and diagnose business needs / opportunities and develop solutions to meet those needs
  • HR Business Partner experience including project management, change management and/or organizational development
  • Willing to work in a manufacturing environment, including shift work as required (including nights and weekends, as required)
  • Other duties as require
  • Serve as a strategic partner, promoting ethical and compliant behavior that is aligned to Company policy and government regulations, with fair and equal treatment for the workforce

You'll have... 

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience
  • 2+ years of Microsoft Office experience to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience working with the salary and union workforce 
  • Demonstrated experience delivering HR process improvements
  • Proven exceptional conflict management skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills

AS AN INSIDE SALES ENGINEER, YOU WILL: Review customer’s inquiry for application requirements and commercial terms and conditions.  Prepare quotations in response to customer inquiries, in accordance with controlled prices, discounts, terms and conditions and sales policies and procedures.  Review customer purchase orders for correct pricing, discounts, terms and conditions, part numbers and prepare for order entry. Respond to all customer requests for sales order status, expedited emergency shipment of parts and service kits, Documentation, operating and maintenance instructions, drawings, and bills of materials. Document customer complaints Document returned materials. Assist other departments in resolving problems related to customer sales and service. Provide customer assistance via phone, fax, or e-mail.
