Job Description

We are seeking to hire an individual with approx. 2-4 years accounting related experience. This position will contribute to the successful operation of the North American Controllership group. The group performs the month end ledger close process and prepares financial reporting to the parent company, Publicis Groupe. The group also provides account reconciliations, fixed asset accounting and reporting, intercompany balancing, audit, and tax support.  This is an exciting time at PublicisSapient as we continue to grow as a business and embark on a large systems conversion from Oracle to SAP. 
 
Primary Responsibilities:
•    Preparation of journal entries and support monthly close process
•    Monthly preparation and review of account reconciliations
•    Coordinate with various Shared Services groups to investigate open items and resolve issues. 
•    Intercompany reporting, reconciliation and balancing
•    Interaction with various financial personnel at the operational units to provide information, answer questions and resolve issues
•    Support requests from tax, internal audit, and other shared service organizations within the company
•    Preparation of balance sheet and P&L analysis and reconciliations
•    Preparation of audit schedules as required
•    Follow and enforce parent company accounting policies and procedures.
•    Finding efficiencies and assisting to implement new procedures and controls.

Qualifications

Experience Guidelines:
•    2-4 years of related experience
•    Strong analytical skills and detail oriented
•    Experience with large, complex international companies preferred
•    Team player and is able to adapt/adhere to changing priorities
•    Proven work ethic  
•    Excellent problem solving skills
•    Flexible to work after hours to meet reporting deadlines
•    Knowledge of account reconciliation procedures.
•    Strong knowledge of US GAAP
•    Understanding of IFRS accounting principles a plus
•    Intermediate to advanced experience with Excel
•    Working knowledge of Oracle, SAP and Hyperion Financial Management reporting systems a plus

Additional Information

Pay Range: $58,000 - $86,000

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
