Job Description

Oracle Retail's Planning & Optimization Suite is a complete modern cloud based suite enabling retailers to effectively align their assortments, inventory investments and prices to their Customer's need and behavior.

As a member of the Development/Engineering group, the candidate will be responsible for designing and developing high-performing, highly-scalable application/UI using latest cloud-native technologies providing rich user-experience that can handle high-volume of data. The candidate will be working closely with the Business/Functional teams, technical architects and platform teams to design and develop end-user facing SaaS application.

 

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated experience in architecting and designing highly scalable, highly available, accessible and high-volume web applications
  • Understanding of modern cloud infrastructures; ideally the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Experience in developing modular UI frameworks and their API interfaces
  • Proven ability to design and develop microservices and their supporting structures
  • Understanding of cloud-based identity management systems, for both authentication and authorization
  • Experience with application containerization, and ideally Kubernetes
  • Hands-on development experience with
    • Oracle JET constituent technologies:  HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, Knockout, jQuery, RequireJs, Node.js, CSS3 and SASS
    • Relational databases, including SQL and Stored Procedures; ideally Oracle SQL & PL/SQL
    • Java for web applications, including Jersey JAX-RS, JDBC and related EE technologies
    • Authentication and Authorization technologies
    • Design and architecture APIs, Web/REST Services
  • Excellent understanding of Agile development methodology
  • Experience following a full lifecycle SDLC process, including creating technical designs, build and unit testing for complex requirements
  • Technical problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or collaborate in a team-oriented environment
  • Good communication skills and the ability to produce high-quality deliverables
  • Collaborate closely with UX design and software development teams
  • 8-10 years of experience relevant to the functional area
  • Prefer Retail software development experience
  • BS or MS degree or equivalent relevant to functional area

Our salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance.   The expected total compensation range (base + sales bonus) for this position is $170,000 to $250,000.   The Candidate will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance and participation in the Company’s Sales Incentive Plan.
